Trainers Hope Skill Will Help Keep Facility Clean
CHIANG MAI, Thailand — Where does a 2-ton elephant go to the bathroom? The answer to that question used to be ‘anywhere they want to,’ but a group of animal trainers in Thailand are hoping to change that.
They’re training their elephants to use several specially constructed toilets.
Each of the elephants at the preserve facility eats more than 100 pounds of food each day, which translates into lots of scooping for the preserve’s staff.
