Lose weight and keep it off

Americans on average spend more money on weight loss products than any other country in the world. From the thigh master to Fen Fen, Americans want to be thinner and healthier. I don’t believe the American public understands how to really lose weight and keep it off. You have a choice to look and feel better.

Exercise
There is a perception that Exercise is the sole factor in getting a toned physique. Exercise does play a role but not as important a role as a clean diet. You can workout everyday for three hours a day and never see your abs. It is possible to run 12 miles a day and your body will burn calories so you could eat whatever you wanted to eat, but that’s not practical. When you go to the gym just give it your all.

Diet
Here’s the key to losing weight and keeping it off – your diet. However, rather than thinking of a diet as something you do before the summer to look good, think of a diet as a life long plan. You have to support the lean body mass that you have now with a diet rich in protein and good carbs for energy to maximize your workouts.

Here’s and example diet for a guy that wants to gain muscle mass and lose fat:

9 am – Breakfast
2 whole eggs, 4 egg whites
1 Cup of Oatmeal
Half a grapefruit

12 pm – Lunch
Chicken Breast with whole grain rice
Diet Coke

3 pm – Snack
Tuna Sandwich
Glass of water

Pre-workout shake
1 scoop of Whey protein

Workout

Post-workout shake
1 scoop of Whey protein

8pm – Dinner
Salmon with veggies

10pm – Sleep

Tips:
Eat every three hours
Eat 5-6 times a day with protein in every meal
Be strict, be consistent in the gym, and with your diet.

Remember “you are what you eat”.
