I was doing some research and came across a series of books (1930’s) on a Valet (Butler) Named Jeeves by P. G. Wodehouse. I read some of the inner pages and Jeeves knows everything about everything. It’s interesting stuff to see why it’s not just ask.com but I guess in popular culture there’s always a smart alec butler that knows it all, from the Batman’s Alfred to Benson to Wadsworth (Clue the movie). I don’t think I would have ever made the connection from book to dot com. More
